East Bay Open Studios (EBOS) exists to support artists with the intent to encourage professional development and arts-based economic vitality. Beginning in 2023 East Bay Open Studios event will become a program of Oakland Art Murmur
EBOS History
For the past 48 years, East Bay Open Studios has presented a twice annual, free and family- friendly, self-guided tour of artist studios and exhibition spaces throughout the East Bay (Alameda and Contra Costa Counties). Over multiple weekends, this event connects the public to art where it happens; in unexpected places, at an art gallery, through an art tour or at an artist open studio. EBOS sustains visual culture and contributes to place-keeping and place- knowing by introducing visitors to various neighborhoods and cultural districts which reflect the diversity of the East Bay.
